Regina Favela
Contemporary art consultant and advisor. She studied a Bachelor’s Degree in Art History and Curatorship at Universidad de las Américas Puebla, graduating in 2020 with honours for her thesis project Dialoguing with Eros from the Periphery: a curatorial proposal and for her participation in the university’s Honours Programme. Upon completing her degree, she founded her business, RF Art Consulting Services, which main focus was supporting emerging and mid-career artists with curatorial and critical aspects, working with artists such as Jordi Alós, Joél Rendón, Enrique Rosas, among others. Simultaneously, she collaborated with Fundación Beckmann (formerly Fundación Cuervo), under Ercilia Gómez Maqueo, on a curatorial project exploring the relationship between the visual arts and tequila for Google Arts & Culture.
In 2022, she moved to Italy to pursue her master’s in Contemporary Art Markets at NABA Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan, graduating Cum Laude. During her time in Italy, she developed various projects that combined art with innovation and entrepreneurship. At the same time, she worked as gallery manager at UNA Galleria, a contemporary art gallery in Piacenza, Italy. She later worked at the Italian auction house Il Ponte, in the communication department, collaborating on digital marketing strategies for all departments of the auction house.
Upon returning to Mexico City in 2024, she continued her business, now focusing on connecting the various players in the art world through curatorial and market strategies. She also continues to work with artists, promoting art and businesses through talks and seminars on criticism, curatorship, and contemporary art.
